As part of this blog I will be reviewing products in the areas I know best - beauty, supplements and health foods. I don’t believe we have to consume less, in fact we need to consume more! Of the right type of products. When we buy something we send a signal to the market about what matters to us. So this influences my criteria when evaluating them. I always look at ingredients, product performance and environmental impact, probably in that order. My preference is always towards plant based ingredients – because they can be renewable, unlike fossil fuels. I know you don’t always have time to read lots of information so I’ll always recap the pros and cons so you can get straight to the point. I tend to talk about products as either treasures (hidden gems you’ll want to keep) or trash (a waste of time) so you’ll see this scale referred to in the reviews. And finally, I want to emphasise that none of these reviews are paid partnerships - being paid by a brand would defeat the purpose of the review. These are my honest opinions and will stay that way!
